I think of myself as a skeptical realist. However, it seems that usually borders on pessimism. I'm not a glass half full kind of person, I'm a "glass was designed twice as large as needed". A great quote I discovered for the borderline optimist to keep in mind: "Statistically speaking pessimists are correct much more often, but optimists have a lot more fun" - Robert Heinlen
